I have been working at ANAF (the National Agency for Fiscal Administration) since 2013, with 10 years of experience in combating tax evasion and fraud through my work in the Anti-Fraud Directorate of ANAF. Starting in 2023, my activity has been within the General Directorate of Fiscal Information at ANAF, covering key areas such as conducting international information exchange based on EU directives and international conventions to which Romania is a party, combating money laundering, and applying international sanctions. I represent Romania as a member of the CARF (Crypto Asset Reporting Framework) working group within the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) and participate as an evaluator on behalf of our country in assessments related to the international exchange of information for states applying the Common Reporting Standard, the financial account reporting standard developed by the OECD. Additionally, I am part of the ANAF team that will implement the reporting obligations of crypto exchanges and electronic wallet issuers into legislation and practice in 2025, both at the EU level (through Directive DAC8) and internationally (through CARF).
